The goal of the Pre-Engineering Academy at SVTA is to introduce high school students to the concepts of engineering modeling and design and to prepare them for success in engineering (and other STEM fields) at the undergraduate level. The engineering academy courses are fast-paced and challenging- requiring students to apply concepts in math, science, and technical writing. We will be following the Project Lead The Way engineering curriculum which is designed to further develop problem solving skills, teach design techniques, nurture creative abilities, and foster team-building skills.  Our expectations are that each student understands and can develop a strategy for solving any number of design problems presented to them.
