Ms. Malysa Chandler’s passion for teaching was revealed at an early age. As a child, she meticulously enjoyed playing school with her siblings and friends. She loved playing the role of teacher but equally enjoyed taking on the role of being a student. Ms. Chandler believes this contributed greatly to her success as a teacher leader in that not only is she capable and willing to lead, but she embraces the knowledge and teachings of others.
As a successful product of the Black Belt area of Alabama, Ms. Chandler works tirelessly giving back to her community. She does this by instilling hope in youth through mentoring and teaching. Ms. Chandler sponsors a girls mentoring organization called Pearls. This organization focuses on motivating, inspiring and cultivating young ladies to always strive for excellence in character, attitude, academics and appearance. She cultivates and empowers young girls by modeling, teaching character education lessons and organizing enrichment activities that assist in developing confidence and self-motivation.
Ms. Chandler enjoys fulfilling her purpose as an educator. She makes learning fun and stimulating because she knows that engaging lessons are pivotal to a student’s academic success.
